Spares and Repair Engineering Manager - Haverhill, Suffolk - This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of Anglian Resourcing who are operating as an employment agency. This is a re-advertisement; previous applicants need not apply.

Our Client is seeking an organised and motivated manager to lead the spares logistics and repair teams. The ideal candidate will have either an Engineering Btec, City and Guilds or NVQ 3 or above and ideally have had experience and training in incident and problem management.

The successful candidate will have proven ability to structure, plan and manage projects and have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to analyse and problem solve. Ideally, the candidate will have spare part management experience and be comfortable with generating reports from Excel and understanding resolution.

This is a highly proactive role and the successful candidate must have delivered service in accordance with SLAs, working to KPIs etc.

Duties will include but are not restricted to:-

Managing support team
Ensuring adequate provisioning levels against current and forecast spares usage both in the field and base stock
Ensuring that logistics are delivered at the most optimum cost with full understanding of material costs against each
Providing emergency despatch system to the field on critical stock out situations
To ensure that stock accuracy is maintained at the defined levels both in the field and at base
Creation of defined reports
Manage and control repair facility to ensure required quality and output targets are achieved
Define required spares and stock levels for all new products and ensure availability in advance of the product launch date
Identify and create all documents pertaining to the introduction of services to the business for Service and Installations teams
Manage effectively all escalations to reduce customer downtime and enhance customer relationship

The ideal applicant will have calm demeanour with the ability to react quickly to complications or service failures and decipher cost efficient resolutions. An analytical approach is key to this role in order to assess process improvement and swift delivery.
