The Quality Manager will be responsible for all plant quality control, quality assurance, customer technical information services and process improvement activities needed to successfully meet all customer needs. The quality manager is also responsible for all food safety aspects within the division.

Duties:
Leadership in support of the strategic / tactical goals of the company and the Quality function at the plant.
Improve Quality Systems designed to efficiently and effectively deliver quality products and technical information services to customers. Improve the speed and efficiency of the processes for delivering technical information to both internal and external customers.
Manage customer complaints, internal non-conformances, supplier non-conformances (using ISO Achiever) to achieve prompt corrective / preventive actions and customer response and reduce frequency.
Manage the Quality dept budget by controlling expenses. Manage customer, GMP, AIB, EFSIS and ISO9000 / ISO22000 audits. Manage operator GMP / Hygiene training. Regularly update HACCP plans. Manage kosher supervision of production batches.
Implement and comply with ISO9000 &ISO 22000 standards.
Support the site's Raising the bar program for local continuous (process) improvement and improved data accuracy as well as monitoring communicating departmental and site KPIs.
Increase cross-functional skills across quality control and quality assurance groups for subordinate development. Ensure annual PMP development plans, performance plans and appraisals are timely completed for all departmental employees.

Skills:
Must be customer focused able to liase with clients and make presentations
Must have excellent organisational skills
The ideal candidate will have a HND / HNC in science-related field or a university degree in a science-related field (e.g. chemistry, food science).
Management experience in quality and manufacturing discipline.
A certification by the American Society of Quality or Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Quality Manager, Certified Reliability Engineer is prefered
