My client based on the outskirts of Woodbridge is looking for a full time Maintenance Engineer to join their very busy team. The company specialises in the food industry and is looking for the successful candidate to provide and excellent and prompt maintenance and electrical service to the factory, farms and hatchery.

The main tasks will involve responding to electrical breakdowns, servicing and maintaining plant, machinery and equipment, following EFSIS planned maintenance schedules. Ordering parts for impending jobs in good time on company order forms. To install new equipment as required and to carry out a monthly stock take by the 3rd of each month and to keep the store stocked with necessary spares. To be on call for all areas of the businesses every other week and to contribute ideas for ways the maintenance service can be improved.

This role is very hands on and demands a candidate to bring their skills previously gained during their career to adapt and fit in to a very past role. The successful candidate must also have a very flexible approach to work as hours are subject to change and increase to a 7day working week in busy periods such as Christmas & Easter.
