Process Manager - Suffolk, Suffolk - An outline for the position of Process Manager; provision of technical support for the coordination and introduction of new processes and product lines, and to continually improve standards and practices.

Coordination of new product launches (factory trials, shelf-life validation, line set-ups, packaging, pallet configuration, nutritional analysis, provision of specifications)
New packaging development and introduction (advise on suitability, obtain packaging specifications from suppliers, incorporate into product specifications, optimise plant capability for running new packaging materials, development of operational instructions and line record sheets)
Optimise defrosting processes (settings, programmes, validation)
HACCP validation of new products, processes and packaging and undertake HACCP studies of new products, processes and packaging
Provision of material for training of operatives in new processes and product/packaging handling
Improve manufacturing process capabilities and efficiencies (waste reduction, yield improvements, GMP)
Conduct 'Would I buy it?' programmes (WIBIT) for existing product range, and benchmark
Specific research and development project initiation (eg sandwich lines)
Introduction of best-practice protocols to the factory (standard care/high care sanitisation, foreign body detection, allergen control, GMP)
Provision of technical expertise in problem solving and decision making
Conduct internal audits of Quality Management System procedures and factory processes
To advise the hygiene team on required protocols and best practice
To deputise for the Technical Manager for extrinsic audits, pest control inspections, and receiving and assessing microbiological results
