THE MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS ROLE ARE:

To carry out all electrical and engineering maintenance activities with due consideration of safe plant operations assessing all aspects of maintenance procedures, ensuring a safe working environment at all time.
To accurately record all breakdown information for all plant and equipment ensuring continuation of specific information per machine.
To accurately record all service work as detailed on the Planned Preventative Maintenance service sheets and job sheets.
To function within the department as a team member with positive contributions towards solving specific problems.
To undertake in line with Engineering Shift Manager and Senior Engineer requirements, specific and timely planned maintenance of equipment.
To input into the continual development and improvement of the department operational activities and functions.
Work to food hygiene standards.
Communicate effectively, verbally and written and effective use of log books
To ensure compliance with safe practice regulations and relevant legislation.
Ensure all parts taken from the engineering stores are booked out and that the procedure is followed.
Understanding of engineering and operational KPI’s and identify areas of improvement to Senior Engineers.
To uphold consistency of approach to working procedures in line with all company policies, procedures and best practice.
To take ownership of housekeeping under the clean as you go policy for your own area specifically and across all areas generally. This includes the engineering workshop, stores, plant room and surrounding areas.
To undertake any other reasonable duties within the overall function equal with the level of responsibility for the post as directed by your immediate Line Manager.
