To settle GI claims so that the requirements of the customer, claims policy and group strategy are met.

Requirements
You must have:

Some claims settlement experience with motor or household insurance as appropriate, Some experience of liability dispute settlement.
Some knowledge of liability dispute settlement within motor or household insurance as appropriate
Excellent negotiation skills
Good understanding of relevant legislation and procedures
Good communication skills
Ability to apply prudent judgement in difficult situations
Ability to work in a pro-active manner
Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and take responsibility for own workload
1 A level or professional equivalent ACII desirable

Responsibilities
You will need to:

Settle claims through correct negotiations so that customer requirements are met and the claims policy is adhered to.
Settle claims through correct negotiations with third parties.
Investigate and make sound judgment on liability Investigate and use prudent judgment on value and quantum
Negotiate settlement at appropriate level
Provide earliest resolution of the claims process for the customer.
Be responsible for complying with all internal, regulatory and statutory standards and controls, so that the requirements of the group and regulatory bodies are met.
Identify any invalid claims and to deal with in an appropriate manner, including giving feedback to the internal technical team handling fraud detection and prevention.
Manage own caseload in timely manner and in accordance with quality standards.
Be responsible for quality auditing and feedback at the appropriate level.
