Systems Administrator/ Support Engineer (1st Line Support) - Ipswich, Suffolk - Systems Administrator/ Support Engineer (1st Line Support) (Server 2003/ IIS/ SQL Server/ XP) Ipswich ASAP c£20,000 p.a. FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY TO WORK WITH A MICROSOFT CERTIFIED PARTNER WHO PROVIDE SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT AND SYSTEMS INTEGRATION SERVICES The successful candidate will be working closely with clients, partners and staff, providing first-line support in their use of the company's IT systems and software products. You will also assist the Network Manager in providing out-of-hours cover when required. Some business travel may be required from time to time. The successful candidate MUST have: "Experience of networking technologies and protocols (for example, TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP.) "Previous experience of interacting with customers "Strong first-line support and troubleshooting skills "Experience building and maintaining desktop PCs "Windows Server 2003 "Internet Information Services (IIS) v6.0 "SQL Server 2000 / 2005 "Windows XP Professional Candidates must also possess a current, valid driving license. Experience with other Microsoft technologies (including but not limited to: ISA Server 2006, Operations Manager 2005 / 2007, Virtual Server 2005, Exchange Server 2003, CRM Server, .NET Framework / ASP.NET, Windows Mobile 5 / 6 and Windows Vista) and /or UNIX technologies (including but not limited to Linux, Apple Mac, Apache and MySQL) would be beneficial to an application. Any Microsoft Certified Professional and secondary school level IT qualifications would also be beneficial. You will be encouraged, and expected, to manage your professional development, and work towards attaining Microsoft Certified IT Professional status.
