GUI Engineer - Ipswich, Suffolk - GUI Engineer Ipswich ASAP Around £40,000 negotiable dependant on experience (please apply regardless of salary) This is a fantastic role for a talented individual at a dynamic and fun company that holds a unique position in the transition to IP-based communications; from VoIP to IPTV and IMS. The successful candidate will be responsible for the ongoing development of the web UI components of the company's product range. Although the role will include elements of design, the primary focus of the role will be the implementation of a highly professional and sophisticated web UI according to the company's style guidelines. Please note that the focus of this role is interactive web application user interface implementation, not web page design. Essential experience "At least 5 years in design and implementation of web interface technology "AJAX, JavaScript, CSS, XML, HTML "Java Server Pages (JSP) development, Java "Configuration of Linux web servers, including Apache and Tomcat "SQL Databases, e.g. MySQL, ORACLE, Microsoft SQL Server "Use of software version control and bug tracking systems Experience areas The successful candidate will have experience in a majority of the following areas: "Use of IDEs such as Eclipse and Microsoft Visual Studio "Formal user interface design and human factors training/qualification "Microsoft IIS, Microsoft .NET, Active Server Pages "Reporting tools, e.g. Crystal reports, BIRT "PHP, PERL "Client-side Java programming "General Linux knowledge "Telecoms OSS systems Please note, your CV and personal information will be treated in the strictest confidence and stored in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998, and the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003.
