Would you like to learn more about Creating the Greenest County, and what you can do to help your local environment?
Creating the Greenest County will be present at this years Suffolk Show with a range of exciting energy efficiency displays, including a domestic wind turbine and solar panels, and a low energy use lawn mower. The "Cut your carbon caped crusaders" will also be on hand to provide advice on how to reduce your Carbon Footprint, alongside the winners of the Greenest Business, School and Community Awards and the award sponsors.
Children will also be encouraged to become 'Little Green Monsters' for the day and follow the Green trail and answer "Creating the Greenest County quiz questions" throughout the wildlife and countryside area. They will then be entered into a Creating the Greenest County prize draw.
You will find the display at pitch number 503 in the wildlife area in the north east of the showground - closest entrance is the Dog Show entrance at gate F.
Suffolk County Council is committed to tackling the challenge of climate change and is supporting the aspiration of Creating the Greenest County. This aspiration is a shared vision for sustaining a new approach to environmental issues. To help communities reduce their carbon footprint, the Greenest County website provides members of the community, both householders and businesses, with a one-stop-shop resource for advice on environmental issues and has launched a green forum on line. Please visit www.greensuffolk.org.uk for more information.
