There are an ever greater number of courses available to everyone in Suffolk this year, from leisure and hobbies to important qualifications and new work skills. During Adult Learners Week this year our advisers are taking to the road in our Skills Information Trailer. They will be at a venue near you, to help you find a suitable course. Many of the courses are free, and there are free "taster" sessions for some of the longer courses offered.

Now in its 17th year, Adult Learners' Week is a wonderful celebration of the energy and inspiration that people bring to their learning. We are highlighting what recent learners have achieved to inspire others to have a go. For you it might be learning a new skill, learning for fun, getting that vital qualification for a new job or catching up on learning missed at school. Come along and talk to us on the trailer, or visit our website at:

Suffolk County Councillor Graham Newman, Portfolio Holder for Adult and Community Services said: "These courses are for everyone. If you need better skills or more confidence to get a job, we have the courses. If you want particular skills like cookery, floristry, care, beauty or using computers, our staff are ready to help. You might need to have a maths qualification, or be a Dad wanting to improve your parenting skills: it's all in our booklet and online. And if you want to develop an interest of yours - perhaps photography, henna or Indian head massage - then we can help. Our courses have changed many people's lives for the better, why shouldn't you be one of them?"

The trailer will be at the following venues (between 11am and 2pm). Why not come along and see us!:

> Monday 19th May - Lowestoft, London Road North (outside WHSmiths)

> Tuesday 20th May - Haverhill, Peas Hill Market Square (near Argos)

> Wednesday 21st May - Ipswich, Cornhill

> Thursday 22nd May - Stowmarket, Asda Car Park

> Friday 23rd May - Bury St. Edmunds, Market Square (near Woolworths)

> Thursday 22nd May is 'Learning at Work Day' and we will, along with Unison Learning and CSD Learning and Development, have interactive displays in the Atrium at Endeavour House, Russell Road, Ipswich from 11am - 2pm. Anyone interested is welcome to come in and explore what's available and talk to staff there.
