Members of the Bury East Safer Neighbourhood Team will be even more visible from now on, thanks to generous support from county and borough councilor Stefan Oliver. He has provided funding for two bicycles which will be used by members of the SNT to travel around the Moreton Hall and Southgate wards.

Safer Neighbourhood Team PC Jon Warby thanked Cllr Oliver for his support. “Safer Neighbourhood Teams are all about getting out into the communities we serve – this bike will enable the team to do this in a more visible, responsive way, and we are very grateful for this contribution.

“Safer Neighbourhood Teams are about working in partnership, and I’m delighted to have the support of Mr Oliver who I’m sure will continue to be involved in the positive work of the team in the future.”

Cllr Oliver adds, “I am very pleased to be able to assist the work of the Safer Neighbourhood Team and feel that this will greatly assist the much appreciated visible presence of the officers in the area.”
