Robbery Felixstowe
Category: Suffolk Constabulary
Police are appealing for information after a 60-year-old woman was robbed of cash on the seafront at Felixstowe yesterday, Tuesday 26 August.
The woman was walking along the Sea Road promenade around 4.30pm – 4.45pm and was opposite Holland Road when she became aware of someone behind her and felt a tap on her shoulder.
She looked around and was then pushed by one of two males who took a wallet from her pocket. The 60-year-old woman shouted out but the males then removed the cash before throwing the wallet back at her.
Both males – described as white, around 5ft 8ins to 5ft 10ins tall, wearing dark clothing, with hoods up and scarves partially over their faces – then ran off along the promenade.
The woman bent down to pick up the items and a member of the public then came to her aid. It’s thought she didn’t mention the robbery but police need to trace this person and are asking them to come forward.
Officers also need to speak to anyone who was in the area around this time and anyone who may have information about the offenders.
If you can help please call Felixstowe CID on 01473 613500.
