Fatal Road Traffic Collision - Great Cornard

Suffolk Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal road traffic collision in Great Cornard yesterday, Monday 13th October 2008.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the collision on King’s Hill at around 8.30pm, where a purple Ford Fiesta had been in collision with a male pedestrian. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
He has today been named as Richard Henry Cook, aged 56 of Pot Kiln Road in Great Cornard.
Mr Cook’s family has released the following statement - "Richard, who was known to most as Henry, was a great brother and uncle who lived life to the full. He would help anybody in a muddle and was a very caring man. He loved his football and sports but most of all his family. He will be sadly missed by everybody that knew him.”
Police are appealing for anyone who saw the collision or may have any further information to contact PC Roy Dade at the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 01473 613500.
