Missing High Risk Sex Offender

West Yorkshire Police are urgently seeking the public’s help to trace 44 year old Peter McDonagh.

McDonagh, a registered sex offender, has gone missing from a West Yorkshire Hostel. He is considered a danger to the public, particularly women. He may also be a danger to himself.

For these reasons, police are taking the unusual step of naming McDonagh and releasing photograph.

He is described as white, 5ft 11ins tall, stocky, with a full, long beard and moustache. He wears glasses and speaks with an Irish accent.

When he went missing, McDonagh left behind medication and his behaviour is likely to be much more unpredictable without it.

Extensive enquiries have been made since February 11th, when he went missing, but he has not been traced, though police do know he has spent some time in Aberdeen.

McDonagh has a history of sexual offending against women and has previously committed offences both in the UK and Ireland.

If seen, McDonagh should not be approached and the public are urged to ring 999, the incident room on 01274 373737 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
