Suffolk Housing Society has launched a new-look website to make it easier for its tenants to access a huge range of important information about their homes.
The easy to navigate “one stop shop” shows tenants how to pay rent, request repairs, apply for housing benefit, make a complaint and get involved with the society’s future plans through the new Tenants Voice group. It also gives a range of useful information about how to find a home, including tips on renting or taking the first steps on the property ladder through shared ownership schemes, along with a guide outlining what a tenant should do if they wish to move.
The website, which is available at www.suffolkhousing.org , also gives information about the 60 to 80 new homes the society builds every year, as well as how to apply for a property in a new development.
“Our new website has been designed to ensure that all of the information our tenants need is no more than two clicks away,” said Steve Clarke, chief executive of Suffolk Housing Society.
“We wanted to make sure the site is clear, concise and easy to navigate, so it is as easy as possible for everyone to use. As well as giving people information about our services, it also explains to our tenants exactly what they can expect from us as a society – including our commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
“We hope that people enjoy using the new site and find the information it contains useful.”
As well as providing information for tenants, the website also gives a history of the society, facts and figures about the number of homes it builds and manages and a list of FAQs. It has been designed to be accessible to everyone, incorporating browsealoud technology, offering a translation service and varying sizes of font to suit users own needs. Contact details have also been added throughout for anyone who needs more information.
