Latest survey shows Suffolk Housing Society has very satisfied tenants

Latest figures show that 84 per cent of tenants were satisfied with the service they received from Suffolk Housing Society in 2007, making them one the top in their East of England group for customer satisfaction, and above average (79 per cent) nationally.
Suffolk Housing Society performed just as well in the previous survey in 2005, again receiving 84 per cent satisfied customers, meaning that the high level of satisfaction with the services on offer is continuing.
The performance of Suffolk Housing Society is compared annually to 22 other housing associations in its group those operating in the East of England with less than 5,000 general needs homes.
The survey also found that 81 per cent of tenants were satisfied with the repairs and maintenance carried out on their property, again putting Suffolk Housing Society in the top quartile of their peer group and again above average (76 per cent) nationally.

“With 84 per cent of our rental tenants satisfied with the service they received from us last year, this puts us as one of the top performing housing societies the East of England in terms of customer satisfaction, and shows that the society’s excellent work is recognised by the people we work hard to help.

The survey is carried out every other year by Suffolk Housing Society using methodology consistent with the National Housing Federation’s STATUS survey. The results record the percentage of all tenants, and satisfaction covers those responding whether they are very satisfied or fairly satisfied with their landlord.
Suffolk Housing Society sent out surveys to all its rental tenants in 2007, around 1,400 people in total. 596 responses were received to the satisfaction questionnaire, a good response rate of 42 per cent.
Other housing corporation’s in the same group as Suffolk Housing Society include Orwell Housing Association, Wherry Housing Association, King’s Forest Housing and Estuary Housing Association. Housing Societies covering Norfolk, Cambridge and Essex are included in the group of 22 in the East of England with less than 5,000 general needs homes.
