The museum and art gallery at the birthplace of Thomas Gainsborough.

Gainsborough's House has recently completed a major refurbishment programme that began in 2005. The much-needed improvements to this historic house will help to preserve the building and its collection for posterity.

The project supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, has included the installation of a lift, improvements to lighting and environmental controls, the fitting out of a Study gallery and redecoration and repair of the entire House.

Gainsborough's House has considerably more gallery space than before and far greater access to its splendid collection.
